Minister of Environment examines a student project to support sustainable cities
As part of the efforts to build an aware generation capable of facing future environmental challenges, His Excellency Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz bin Turki Al Subaie, Minister of Environment and Climate Change, received a project presented by students Fatima and Al-Jouri Rashid Al-Rahimi from Al-Wakra Preparatory School for Girls, titled “Towards Sustainable Cities.”
His Excellency was briefed on the project’s content, which includes a range of innovative solutions for building eco-friendly cities. He welcomed the initiatives that reflect school students’ awareness of their role in supporting national efforts to achieve sustainable development.
The two students, Fatima and Al-Jouri, expressed their happiness in presenting their project to the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change, which focuses on reusing wood, cork, and rubber in the interior flooring of buildings, with the aim of reducing environmental impact and achieving sustainable, modern designs.
